(scroll to bottom to proceed to dni)before we go to my DNI, i wanted to address some thoughts on fiction and reality. it would be dishonest of me to describe myself as an anti but i am not a proshipper. i think we should all approach topics in fiction and the way people enjoy it with nuance and compassion. one size doesn't really fit all with what i feel is appropriate or not, and sometimes my feelings change from one situation to the next. black and white terms like anti and proshipper really put people into a box and i'm just not about that.not all stuff bothers me and i think it's important to treat real people compassionately, kindly, and ethically over prioritizing fictional people & how real people interact with fiction. there are also definitely things that i find disgusting and will block people on sight for, and it really bothers me when people say fiction isn't reality in order to use it as an excuse to be hurtful and nasty with their involvement with fiction and other people. that shit's not cool. it's weird, and i don't like it.fiction still has an obvious and unquestionable effect on reality. if it works with racist propaganda and molding public opinion, especially when lots of fiction solidifies certain patterns of behavior in society, then yes, it can still be traumatic and hurt people and have real consequences on all of us. at the same time, i also think the majority of us can make the choice to curate our own spaces on a smaller scale, and be responsible and effective with our interactions with others, and that capability deserves to be utilized. i don't believe in wasting time being miserable over what i ultimately find to be insignificant stuff.above all, i think everyone benefits from being cool, having fun, and not wasting their time and energy on stuff they obviously hate. i choose to be aware of what i'm responsible for, and i try not to be obsessed with being as weird and cruel as possible to real actual people.thanks for reading! 💕anyways here's my dni → | or go home
